As I reflect upon the past year I am struck by profound gratitude for our Your Own Home Care Family. To me a Family is a group of people who all genuinely care about each other. It is not defined by blood or birth but more by circumstance and is made up of people that have made a difference in your life. Our Caregivers often become integral parts of the “families” they help.
My original goal was to provide in home care that would enable seniors to stay in their homes, surrounded by what was familiar to them, filled with memories that made them feel safe and happy. I am pleased to say with certainty that because of the dedication of the Your own Home Care Family, my goal has not just been met, it has exceeded my expectations. I want to take a moment to recognize all my staff as well as the families who have entrusted us and become an integral part of our lives. As we move forward from the holiday season into the new year, may we all be ever mindful of the needs and wants of others. May we carry the spirit of the season with us and practice random acts of kindness throughout our busy days. Please take a moment to tell someone how much you appreciate them and make sure you take time to care for yourself as well.
